Milkberry is the common name for Chiococca, a genus of flowering plants in the coffee family, Rubiaceae. The Milkberry is frequently called Snowberry, but this is not to be confused with Symphoricarpos albus, more generally known as Snowberry. There are currently six known species of Chiococca, Chiococca alba, commonly called West Indian Milkberry, Chiococca belizensis, commonly called Belize Milkberry, Chiococca pachyphylla, commonly called Thickleaf Milkberry, Chiococca parvifolia, commonly called Pineland Milkberry, Chiococca phaenostemon, commonly called Darkstamen Milkberry, and Chiococca semipilosa, commonly called Halfpilose Milkberry.
